Join us for an immersive workshop exploring Caribbean heritage and cultural resilience through costume creation, sound, and movement. In preparation for the Dekoloniale City Tour, this session will guide participants in crafting self-assembled costume pieces that evoke the stories and symbols of John Canoe, the mysteries of the El Faro wreck, and the haunting beauty of Moko Jumbies. Led by artists Felisha Carenage and guided by Luiza Furtado, Tekel Sylvan, and Earl Ward, we will engage in hands-on costume building and discussions that uncover the historical layers and living narratives embodied in Caribbean performance traditions. Participants will be part of a vibrant procession, interacting with the architecture and spaces around us.
