Sound Performance

Sounds from the South – A sound tour

The set takes you on a journey through the diverse and vibrant rhythms of the African liberation movements - from spiritual chants to monumental speeches to timeless rhythms. Influences from the south and west of the continent take you on a musical adventure that explores the intersections of spirituality, hyper-identity, fusion and African rhythm, while highlighting the impact of sounds from the global south. An expression of transmutations, identity, culture, history, present and future.
